On Monday, the DeKalb County (Ala.) Sheriff’s Office took a report of a vehicle stolen from a car lot in the Kilpatrick area. An investigation was opened and within a day investigators received leads that took them to a suspect’s residence in Albertville.
Once investigators arrived at the residence, they learned that the vehicle had been scrapped at a scrapyard in Albertville. As a result, Marty Spence (above), 54, Randy Spence (right), 32, and Jonathan Spence (below), 29, all of Albertville, were arrested and charged with receiving stolen property 3rd, marijuana 2nd and Illegal possession of alcohol. Randy Spence was also charged with theft of property 1st.
DeKalb Sheriff Jimmy Harris commented: “Thanks to the investigators for working so diligently on this case and being able to close the case within a day.”
