Neighbors' Complaints Lead to Drug Bust

Deputies from the Dade County Sheriff's Department with the assistance of the Lookout Mountain Drug Tak Force on Wednesday, Oct. 19, paid a visit to a home on Belree Road after receiving multiple complaints from concerned citizens about suspicious activity at the residence. As they investigated, they found numerous narcotic paraphernalia visible throughout the scene along with methamphetamine and opiate drugs, which they recovered.


Anthony Gass (left)was taken into custody and charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of a schedule II narcotic. In addition, State Probation has opened an investigation with him pending probation violation charges.


Justin Gass (right) was also taken into custody and charged with possession of a schedule II narcotic, and a female, Dawn Lee (below), was arrested and charged with possession of a schedule II narcotic.


Sheriff Ray Cross said he was thankful for the community's involvement with and trust in his office, "If the community comes to me with concerns, I will see to it that action is taken and we will continue to put pressure on these drug offenders," said Sheriff Cross.
