Members of the Dade Cave and Rescue Squad confirmed reports that their longtime captain, Vivien Hester, died this morning from injuries received in an automobile accident across the Tennessee border. A native of Scotland, she had lived in Dade County for many years and was formerly employed by the Dade Sheriff's Department. The Planet will print a fuller obituary when it becomes available.
