Sunset Blaze

A $600,000 log home atop Lookout Mountain caught fire this morning, and Dade Emergency Services this afternoon could not confirm or deny whether local volunteer firefighters continued to battle the flames. But reports from neighbors said the house and its detached garage were totally consumed.

The house at 5127 Sunset is listed on Dade tax rolls as belonging to Anastasios Hatzopoulos and as containing 4595 square feet. It was built in 2001 and Hatazopoulos bought it last year from Anthony Bell.
