Charlie Wooten Nabbed After Chase

Around 9 a.m. on Friday, a Dade County Sheriff's Department deputy began a pursuit with a vehicle on District Line Road. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Charles Wooten, who had outstanding felony warrants through Dade County stemming from a previous felony pursuit back in January.

The pursuit ended in DekKlb County, Alabama, on County Road 169, where the deputy conducted a felony takedown of the vehicle. Charles Wooten ultimately surrendered and was taken into custody.

The Dekalb County Sheriff's Office assumed custody of Wooten, who is now awaiting extradition back to Dade County to face his charges. Wooten currently faces two counts of felony eluding a police officer and other traffic violations.
