Dade Chamber of Commerce Announces Awards Nominees


The Dade County Chamber of Commerce invites the community to its annual awards banquet on Saturday, March 18, from 6-9 p.m. at the Trenton Civic Center and announces nominees for its citizenship and business honors, as follows:

For the C of C's Bill O'Neal Award, nominees are Reece Fauscett, Carolyn Bradford, Larry Moore, Lloyd Gass and George Nelson.

For Educator of the Year, the Chamber's list includes Lynne Heath, Chris Chance, Tracy Blevins, Stephen Walden and Tonya Gatlin.

For Corporation of the Year, the names are Southeast Lineman Training Center, McDonald's, Vanguard, Citizens Bank and Lake Region.

For Nonprofit of the Year, nominated are Dade First, Dade County Historical Society and the American Legion.

Nominees for Small Business of the Year are Brikwoo, Guthrie's Chicken, State Farm-Matt Mayfield and Thatcher's.

And for the prestigious title of Citizen of the Year, possibles are Peter Cervelli, Donna Street, Gen. Bob Woods, Will Garrett and Matt Mayfield.

Dade County's very own Ted Rumley will be the spotlight of our first-ever "roast!" This year's banquet will be Western-themed. Get gussied up in your best Western attire to win a special prize for the best cowboy and best cowgirl!
