Library News: Come see our photo display through April

If you haven’t been by to look at our photo display, remember that it will still be up through the month of April. There are all kinds of pictures taken in Dade County, historical, scenic and full of characters. The living history video is also available to view.

The Prime Time program wound up last week. We had 19 kids who came regularly for the six-week program, along with their families. Thanks to our staff and the teachers who worked with the kids in this reading program.

This week’s Ready-to-Read program will be about flowers. The kids had a great time with Melissa and Ursula at their egg hunt at Jenkins Park last week.

It’s a little late, but happy birthday to our manager, Marshana Sharp, who had a BIG birthday this week, and also to staff member April Tinker, whose birthday, appropriately, is in April. Happy birthday to them both!

We would like to thank all the individuals and organizations who helped with the Health Fair at the library on the Saturday of the Festival of Life: the Mary Ellen Locher Mammogram bus, CHI Memorial Family Care at Trenton, Primary Health Care Center, the Dade County Health Department, Dade County Chiropractic, Chad McDill, Dr. Leon Graham, Fred’s Pharmacy, Food City Pharmacy, Tara, massage therapist from Genesis Gym, Puckett Emergency, and Living Well – Lymphatic Therapy, Lori Savini. We appreciate you all taking your time to support good health in Dade County.

As I’ve mentioned before, we have some new printers at the library that make great copies and enlargements of black and white or color pictures.
