Sheriff's Dept Names Suspect in Tuesday Home Invasions

The Dade County Sheriff's Department today named Jason Ray Beam, 43, of Ringgold, as the man arrested for Tuesday's home invasions on Carrell Road and Pebblebrook Lane.

Deputies responded first to a Tuesday afternoon call from Carrell Lane complaining that the suspect was breaking out a window. The homeowner there had fired two warning shots to scare the suspect away from the residence, and when deputies arrived the invader had fled across a field.

The deputies requested K-9 backup and began tracking the suspect with the dog, but meanwhile, Dispatch received another call from a Pebblebrook Lane resident who said that a male had broken through her front window and entered her house, causing her to flee to a neighbor's house.

Beam was arrested at the Pebblebrook Lane home and transported to the hospital for treatment for his injuries from broken glass. He is currently incarcerated in the Dade County Jail.
