All Dade County government offices will close at 3 p.m. today and be on a two-hour delay Tuesday morning, when county government offices will open at 10 a.m. This is due to possible tropical storm conditions that are moving into Dade County later this evening and expected to last throughout the night.

If further advisories are necessary, Emergency Services Director Alex Case will issue them through the Hyper-Reach network. All Dade County emergency personnel are on standby and ready to assist if called upon.

Any further delays on Tuesday will be shared with local media for immediate release. For more information you may contact Dade County Chairman/County Executive Ted Rumley--back on the job today after open-heart surgery--by calling (423) 667-8999. Or call Dade County's Emergency Service Director Alex Case by dialing (706) 657-4111.

For emergencies, please call 911; for a non-emergency please call (706) 657-4111.
