These are arrests reported by Sgt. Chad Payne, information officer for the Dade County Sheriff's Office.
On Wednesday, Sept. 20, at approximately 11 p.m., deputies were dispatched to Holder Loop in Rising Fawn for an argument between two males. Prior to arriving on scene, the deputies were advised that one subject had threatened the other with a firearm. Deputies arrived on scene and placed Joseph M. Benge (left), 26, of Rising Fawn, into custody for aggravated assault and criminal trespass.
On Saturday, Sept. 23, at approximately 3 a.m., deputies observed a vehicle traveling on Highway 11 crossing the lines outside the lane of travel. The deputies conducted a traffic stop and made contact with Austin S, Hawkins (right), 21 years old, of Trenton. After conducting some field sobriety tests, the deputies placed the offender into custody for DUI and failure to maintain lane.
