The Dade County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Saturday night than an 89-year-old woman had died in a trailer fire earlier in the evening. The fire was at the Templeton Trailer Park on Highway 299 in Wildwood. No name on the victim was released as of last night.
Another resident of the home sustained second-degree burns, but the injuries were not life-threatening and the individual was transported to the hospital for treatment.
The fire does not appear to be suspicious but it is still under investigation, reported Sgt. Chad Payne, information officer for the sheriff’s office.
Sgt. Payne promised a fuller report later.
