DeKalb Sheriff's Office Offers Concealed Carry Class

The DeKalb County (Ala.) Sheriff’s Office will be taking applications for its "Introduction to Concealed Carry" class starting today, with a cutoff deadline of Nov. 14. The first class is scheduled for Nov. 16, 6-8 p.m. CDT, with a subsequent session at the shooting range starting at 2 p.m. CDT on Nov. 19.

Applications for this class can be found on the Dekalb Sheriff's website, www.dekalbcountysheriff.org. This class will cover gun safety, methods of concealed carry and legal considerations, as well as mindset and lifestyle changes.

All Sheriff's Office classes are offered on a first-come-first-served basis. The classes will be continued as long as the demand is there.
