
Sgt. Chad Payne, information officer for the Dade County Sheriff's Office, reports as follows:
On Wednesday, Nov. 22, at approximately 2 a.m., a traffic stop was conducted on Highway 299 on a vehicle without a headlight. During the traffic stop, it was found that the subjects were in possession of over an ounce of marijuana, drug-related objects and a loaded handgun.

Emily Brazelton, 27)], was arrested and charged with:
Tampering with evidence
Possession of a marijuana (felony)
Possession of drug-related objects
Permitting an unlicensed person to drive

Cordoro Matthews, 28, was arrested and charged with:
Possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony Possession of marijuana (felony)
Possession of drug-related objects
Driving while licensed suspended/ revoked
Headlight requirements.
Dade Sheriff Ray Cross continues to encourage his deputies to get as many illegal drugs off the streets, as possible.
