There are some changes coming for our patrons who use electronic downloads. On February 6, the Cherokee Regional Library System will be switching to a new vendor, RBDigital, for access to audiobooks and ebooks, and now e-magazines!
This will replace the current system which is called Overdrive. There will be a two-week overlap between Overdrive and the new system to give patrons a chance to switch over without any interruption of service. We will have more information in my article next week about the details of this transition.

If you plan to attend one of the library’s beginner computer classes on Tuesday, January 30, please call to sign up. There will be a class at 10 a.m. and one at 6 p.m.
Dade First-Family Connections is sponsoring a 2018 financial planning class on Tuesday, February 6, at 5:30 p.m. A speaker from Consumer Credit Counseling will give help on budgeting, taxes and use of credit. Crystal Cadieux from REMAX will speak about home searching, home ownership and taking care of the home. Shawn Stiger from Liberty Insurance will be speaking on insurance benefits and saving money.
