The Trenton Police Department announced this morning that Diane Hulgan had died from her injuries at 7:15 a.m.
Ms Hulgan, 70, was struck by a Dade County school bus Tuesday afternoon while crossing the street at Trenton's central intersection, the junction of highways 136 and 11, in front of CVS. She was transported to Erlanger.
The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the incident. Dade Superintendent of Schools Jan Harris on Tuesday night called it a "tragic accident" and did not believe the bus driver would be found at fault.
She did not release the name of the bus driver.
