Man Wanted in DeKalb Shooting Arrested in Louisiana

The DeKalb County (Ala.) Sheriff’s Office has been investigating a shooting that happened back in December of 2017 at a residence on Short Cut Drive in Henagar.

That investigation led Investigators to Mark Shane Tucker, 41, of Flat Rock. Investigators obtained a warrant for attempt of murder warrant for his arrest shortly after the shooting in December.

That remained the status for some time, with Tucker wanted but missing. However, last month DeKalb County Investigators got a break: Tucker had been arrested in Louisiana on unknown charges. Now Tucker has been extradited back to the DeKalb County Detention Center on the attempted murder charge and is awaiting trial.

Sheriff Jimmy Harris commented: “Investigators have put in long hours on this case and have done a great job on the investigation. We are also glad that we have Tucker in custody.”
