Storms Close Schools Early, B of E Meeting Rescheduled

Dr. Jan Harris, superintendent of schools, has just announced that all Dade schools will close an hour early this afternoon due to the threat posed by expected severe storms. All after-school activities are also canceled.

Update: Dr. Harris also announced later in the morning that the regular March meeting of the Dade County Board of Education, scheduled for 5 p.m. this afternoon, has been rescheduled for next Monday, March 26, at the same time.
