The Dade County Tax Commissioner’s office will hold its annual tax auction at 10 a.m. on Tuesday outside the courts facility. Only four properties are on the block this year. The list started out much longer, but owners whittled it down to size by paying their delinquent taxes. In fact, the owners of the four properties left have until the last minute to redeem them.

If you want to bid, you need to register at the tax office to get a number. You can call that office at (706) 657-7563.
The properties up for auction at this point are an acre or so on Wesa Lane—that’s in the old Sequatchie Pointe area on Sand Mountain; 27 Fisher Road; 381 Neal Road; and 156 Montague Street.
