Jackson County Busts Four at Henagar Meth House



On Tuesday, officers of the Jackson County (Ala.) Sheriff's Office narcotics unit and patrol division, along with members of the Alabama State Drug Task Force and DeKalb County (Ala.) Sheriff's Office, executed a search warrant at a residence on Alabama Highway 40 in Henagar. During the search, the law officers located and seized methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Arrested as a result of this investigation were:


Jeffery Alan Sparks, 43, of Henagar, who was charged with possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession of marijuana 1st degree, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with physical evidence. Sparks was later released on $8,100 bond.


Robbie Lenn Gunter, 46, also of Henagar, who was charged with unlawful possession of controlled substances (methamphetamine) and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Gunter remains in jail on $5,300 bond.


Jeffery Elbert Townsel, 55, of Fort Payne, who was charged with unlawful possession of controlled substances (methamphetamine) and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Townsel was later released on $5,300 bond.


Karen Michelle Combs, 44 of Pisgah, who was charged with unlawful possession of controlled substances (methamphetamine) and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. She remains in jail with a probation hold.
