Sgt. Chad Payne is information officer for the Dade County Sheriff's Office.
On August 1, at approximately 12:20 a.m., a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle on Highway 136 going up Sand Mountain by a Dade County deputy who had noticed the vehicle had a broken taillight.
After speaking with the occupants of the vehicle, the deputy found that there was methamphetamine inside the vehicle as well as other items pertaining to the illegal use of drugs and items associated with the distribution of drugs.
All subjects in the vehicle were taken into custody for the listed charges, and they were transported to the Dade County Jail, where they are still being housed.
