
Sgt. Chad Payne is information officer for the Dade County Sheriff's Office.
On Wednesday, Aug. 8, at approximately 8:30 a.m., a Dade County deputy observed a vehicle traveling on Griffin Road in the area of Scenic Highway with a broken and nonfunctioning taillight. The deputy conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle, which was occupied by a male and a female.
After a brief investigation, the two subjects were found to be in possession of methamphetamine along with other drug-related objects. Both subjects were taken into custody for possession of drugs and transported to the Dade County Jail for booking.
