Library News: Give Yourself a Raise--Sign up for Free Ebooks!

One of my Facebook friends, who was also one of my students, posted this week that she had gotten a raise. She went on to say that she had given herself a raise by signing up for her library’s free digital library. She will now be able to read electronic books for free instead of buying them.

Her library is in Chattanooga, but our library here in Trenton has the same service. It’s called RBDigital. You need to have a library card and your card number is your login. Go to our website at chrl.org, find the RBDigital icon and set up an account. Come by the library if you need any help. Then go to the APP store on your device and download the APP to your device. You can check out books and magazines.

Ready-to-Read started back last Thursday and we had a good crowd here to learn about using the library. Our class this Thursday, Aug. 23, will be about listening. These classes are for preschool children and they are free. They begin at 10:30 a.m. and last about 45 minutes to an hour.

There will be a Basic Computer Class at the library on Tuesday, Aug. 28, at 5:30 p.m. Call the library at (706) 657-7857 to sign up.
