DeKalb Busts Six for Drugs, Stolen Items



Six drug suspects were arrested Friday after a joint investigation by several Alabama law enforcement agencies that lasted months.

​​The DeKalb County Drug and Major Crimes Unit, DeKalb sheriff's deputies and investigators and the Fort Payne Police Department all worked on the case that culminated in

an Aug. 24 search warrant for a residence on County Road 122 in Fort Payne. When officers from all the agencies arrived and searched the home, they found drugs and stolen items.


Rickey Lionel Rogers Jr., 35, of Fort Payne, Dale Lee Johnson, 55, of Geraldine, and Michael James Little, 47, of Henagar, were all charged with receiving stolen property 2nd, possession of controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana 2nd.


Lisa Marie Rogers, 56, and Timothy Wayne Smith, 46, both of Fort Payne, were charged with receiving stolen property 2nd, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of controlled substance.


Shannon Dewayne Seabolt, 40, also of Fort Payne, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and receiving stolen property 2nd.

Chief Deputy Michael Edmondson commented: “This has been a


combined effort between the DeKalb County Drug and Major Crimes unit, deputies, investigators and the Fort Payne Police Department. They have been working diligently on this investigation for several months now and have done an outstanding job.”
