On Tuesday, Aug. 21, at approximately midnight, Dade County deputies were dispatched to the area of 400 Piney Road in reference to a male subject knocking on people's doors and driving a car slowly up and down the roadway.
The deputies arrived in the area and located the suspect vehicle in a yard. Upon making contact with the driver of the vehicle, they observed that the offender appeared to be under the influence. The deputies requested consent to search the vehicle, but were denied. They called for a police K-9, and the dog alerted to the vehicle multiple times.
A search was conducted of the vehicle and a container of methamphetamine and pills were located. The offender, Anthony L Shrader, 42, of Chattanooga, was taken into custody and transported to the Dade County jail, where he is currently being housed.
He was charged with;
Possession of Methamphetamine
Criminal Trespass
Possession of a Schedule 4 Narcotic.
