At approximately 11:30 a.m., Dade County units were dispatched to the area of the 4- mile marker (Rising Fawn vicinity) on Interstate 59 North for a single vehicle accident with injuries.
Dade County units arrived on scene and found one motorcycle off the roadway at the edge of the woods. The deputies found two subjects, and both had very serious injuries.
The male subject was flown by air ambulance to the hospital, and the female was taken by ground.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation by the Georgia State Patrol, and Interstate 59 Northbound was completely shut down for approximately 1 hour.
