Come Get Your Library Card!

The Book Club will meet on Tuesday evening, Sept. 18, to discuss Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston. This classic book has it all—love, hate, murder, gossip, travel, poetry, death and life.

It is also one of the books that make up PBS’s 100 Great American Books. The next installment of the show will be on PBS sometime in September. You can still vote every day for your favorites on PBS.com. The Book Club meets at the library at p.m. Everyone is welcome to join us.

Thursday, Sept. 13, is Family Movie Night. The movie will begin at 4 p.m., with free water and popcorn served. Call the library at (706) 657-7857 to get the movie title.

The Teen Advisory Board (TAB) will meet on Tuesday, Sept. 18, from 4-6 p.m.

This is a reminder that the month of September is Library Card Sign-up Month. If you are a Georgia resident, work in Georgia, or own property in Georgia, you can get a library card free of charge. Cards for out-of-state patrons are $25. If you already have

a library card, you can renew it. If you get a new card or renew in the month of September, you will be entered in a drawing for a gift card at the end of the month.

If you need pictures copied, you can do that at the library. We can do enlargements and copies and our costs are low. We can even make poster-size copies.
