The Crazy 8s Math Club will begin on Tuesday, Sept. 25, for children in grades K-2. Classes for children in grades 3-5 will begin on Thursday, Sept. 27. They will meet each Tuesday and Thursday at 4:15 for eight weeks. Call the library at (706) 657-7857 to sign your child up. The classes are FREE.
Thursday’s Ready-to-Read program will be about Fall. It meets at 10:30 a.m.
It is still September, so it is still Library Card Sign-up month. If you get a new card or renew your card, your name will be entered in a drawing for a gift card.
We have been short-staffed for a while now, so we are very happy to welcome our two new part-time employees, Rebecca Coleman and GeorgeAnn Jones. Come by and meet them!
Today’s libraries do much more than just checking out books. At our library our patrons can check out DVDs, audiobooks, magazines and passes for the Center for
Puppetry Arts in Atlanta, the Atlanta Family Zoo, the Chattanooga Zoo, the Michael C. Carlos Museum and Georgia State Parks. Digital books, audiobooks, and magazines are also available through RBDigital.
Come by the library and we can help you sign up for the digital services. All these services are free for our patrons who have library cards.
