Two-Hour School Delay for Dade Thursday

Writer's picture: Robin Ford WallaceRobin Ford Wallace

Dr. Jan Harris, superintendent of Dade Schools, has called for a two-hour delay in the normal school schedule for Thursday, Sept. 27, presumably due to the heavy rains that have caused flooding in nearby areas.

Dr. Harris texted the announcement without elaboration, and The Planet has had no reports of flooding in Dade County at this point. But the county's popular super has leaned more in the better-safe-than-sorry rather than the it's-just-three-snowflakes direction in her scary-weather calls thus far.

The Planet will faithfully pass on any other developments.
