Sgt. Chad Reports Traffic Arrests



Sgt. Chad Payne is information officer for the Dade County Sheriff's Office.

On Sept. 30, at approximately 6 p.m., a Dade County deputy observed a vehicle illegally pass another vehicle in the 8000 block of Scenic Highway. The deputy conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle, made contact with the driver, and requested his driver's license. The driver was unable to provide his license to the deputy but provided his name and date of birth for a license check.

Checking the information provided by the driver, the deputy compared the license picture to the driver, and the faces did not match. Another deputy arrived on scene and recognized the subject as the brother of the person whose name was given to the initial deputy. The driver was then taken into custody for the listed charges.


Zachary A Cadorette, 34, of Lookout Mountain, Ga., was charged with

  • Improper Passing in a No Passing Zone

  • Knowingly Driving a Motor Vehicle with a Canceled/Suspended Tag

  • No Insurance

  • Driving While License Suspended/Revoked

  • Giving Law Enforcement Officer a False Name/DOB.


On September 30, at approximately 10:15 p.m., a Dade County sergeant observed a vehicle traveling at a very low speed in the 6700 block of Highway 301. The Sergeant placed his patrol vehicle behind the suspect vehicle and observed that the vehicle was unable to maintain its lane while negotiating curves in the roadway. After making contact with the driver, and several field sobriety tests, the deputy took the driver into custody for the listed charges.

Chandler R. Dicken, 30, of Trenton was charged with

  • Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol

  • Failure to Maintain Lane.
