The Library is More Than A Place To Check Out Books!

Crazy 8s Math Club continues at the library for kids from grades K to 5. Call the library if you are interested in signing your kid up.

Family Movie Night is Thursday, Oct. 18, at 4 p.m. Come by after school and enjoy a free movie with free popcorn and water provided. Call the library at (706) 657-7857 for the title of the movie.

Trick or Treat Alley is coming up this month. There will be booths in Veterans’ Park in front of the library and you can come in and trick or treat at the library from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The theme at the library is Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Come see our staff and friends all dressed up for Halloween.

There will be a computer class at the library on Tuesday, Oc. 30, at 5:30 p.m. Call the library to sign up. The class is FREE. Our photo display “Just Kids” will be up through Oct. 16.

Members of the Dade High School class of 1968 recently celebrated their 50th class reunion here at the library. Other classes have had theirs here as well, or in any case had their planning meetings at the library. Remember the library is available for meetings and other events.

Our meeting rooms are used for study rooms, for tutoring sessions and for gaming. Some organizations hold meetings in our large meeting room. Our library is more than just a place to check out books.
