Sgt. Chad Payne is information officer for the Dade County Sheriff's Office.
On Oct. 4, at approximately 11:30 a.m., a Dade County deputy observed a white pickup truck in the 9700 block of Scenic Highway, driven by a male she knew to have an active warrant.
The deputy conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and made contact with the driver, Timothy W. Vaughn. The deputy then confirmed the warrant through dispatch and placed the driver into custody. After doing so, she found the driver to
be in possession of two drug-related objects. He was taken to the Dade County jail where he is currently being held on a $10,000 bond.
Vaughn, 52, of Lookout Mountain, Ga., was charged with
