Still Taking Food for Fees, and Still Got TUMC Tree Ornament!

The library will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and Friday after Thanksgiving, Nov. 22-23. It will reopen on Saturday, Nov. 24, for the regular hours of 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Ready-to Read classes will resume on Thursday, Nov. 29.

I know I’m repeating myself, but we’re still doing Food for Fines for the rest of November. Bring in a can of food for $1 in fines for up to $10. Help yourself and someone in need at the same time.

Also, for the month of November we are taking submission of your photographs taken at Georgia state parks. Bring them by any time during the month of November for our photo contest.

There will be two more FREE cooking classes at the library this month. The focus is on healthy, plant-based cuisine. Wednesday, Nov. 21, will be a class on desserts, and Wednesday, Nov. 28 is International Night. Classes are from 5-6 p.m. For more information, you may please email: kathleenmay391@gmail.com.

There will be a free computer class at the library on Tuesday, Nov. 27 at 5:30 p.m. Anyone interested is welcome.

The Friends of the Dade County Public Library are selling a new Dade County Historical ornament this year. It is a pewter ornament of the Trenton United Methodist Church and the cost is $15. These ornaments are available at the library. Those of you who have a set already will want this one to complete your set.

If you are interested in purchasing a complete set of the 13 ornaments, please come by the library to order or send a check to the Friends of the Dade County Public Library, P.O. Box 340, Trenton, GA 30752. It usually takes two weeks or less to get a complete set back. A complete set is $165. It would make a great Christmas present!
