GSP Report on Earlier Monday I-59 Crash


Here is the Georgia State Patrol report, reproduced verbatim, on the earlier of the two serious, highway-closing accidents on I-59 on Monday. The driver who was airlifted is identified here, and as far as GSP's and The Planet's information can discern, he is still living at the time of this report. GSP has promised updates as they become available.

On Nov. 19, at approximately 2:15 p.m., Vehicle #1 (2002 Chevy Impala) traveling north on I-59 weaving in and out of traffic, clipped the right corner of the trailer of Vehicle 2 (tractor-trailer) causing the driver of Vehicle #1 to lose control. Vehicle #1 then exited the roadway to the right before rolling/vaulting, ejecting the driver from the vehicle.

Driver #1 - Donald K. Domino, age 23 of Cullman, AL, was critically injured and airlifted to Erlanger. Passenger #1 - Madison P. Miller, age 22 of Cullman, AL, was injured and transported to Erlanger. Passenger #1 - Paige Miller, age 1 of Cullman, AL, was injured and transported to Erlanger. Driver #2 - Jimmy Dale Brandon, age 62 of New Hope, AL, was not injured. The report is not complete.
