Sgt. Chad Payne is information officer for the Dade County Sheriff's Office.
This morning, Saturday, Dec. 15, at approximately 12:15 a.m., Dade County deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of Highway 11 South in reference to a male who had been shot. Upon the arrival of deputies, it was found that the male had expired.
As of now, this incident is being treated as a homicide, and the GBI has been requested to assist in the investigation. This investigation is in the very early stages, and no further info will be released at this time.
