Sgt. Chad Payne is information officer for the Dade County Sheriff's Office.
On Thursday, Jan. 10, officers of the Dade County Sheriff's Office and the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force, along with Department of Community Supervision representatives, did a home visit to the address of Mr. Charles Wooten on Porter Road. During the home visit, it was found that Mr. Wooten was in possession of methamphetamine, and also in possession of multiple firearms. Mr Wooten, who was on active probation/parole, was taken into custody and transported to the Dade County Jail, where he is currently being held with no bond.
