Sgt. Chad Payne is information officer for the Dade County Sheriff's Office.
On Friday, Jan. 18, at approximately 11:30 p.m., a Dade County deputy observing a vehicle traveling on Highway 136 saw the driver cross under a red light at the interstate overpass and turn onto Interstate 59.
After conducting a traffic stop, the Deputy detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the driver. After attempting to conduct field sobriety tests on the driver, the
deputy placed him under arrest for the listed charges. He was then transported to the jail for booking and released on bond.
Sean M. Losey, 44, of Stonewall, La., was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to obey traffic control device.
