On Friday, Jan. 25, at approximately 12:45 a.m., a Dade County deputy observed a vehicle traveling in the 500 block of Interstate 24 West at a high rate of speed. The deputy placed his unit behind the vehicle. He then observed that the driver was unable to maintain its lane and was also changing lanes without using his turn signal.
The deputy conducted a traffic stop and immediately detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from inside the vehicle. After performing field sobriety tests, the deputy took the offender into custody for the listed charges and transported him to the Dade County Jail for booking, after which he was released on bond.
