Jackson County SO Asks Your Help in Find Bycicle-Riding Robber

A man robbed the Woodville (Ala.) Dollar General on Tuesday at gunpoint before making his getaway on a bicycle, says the Jackson County Sheriff's Office. He is still at large, and is considered armed and dangerous. Here's the SO's news release:

On Tuesday March 5, at approximately 7:45 p.m., the Woodville (Ala.) Police Department and Jackson County Sheriff's Office responded to a robbery at the Dollar General Store on Highway 35 in Woodville. Upon arrival, the officers learned that a white male adult wearing a tan Carhartt jacket and matching bibs had entered the front door of the store with his face covered by burlap material.

The suspect had then approached the two store

employees, showed at least one of them a handgun, and demanded money.

The suspect took an undetermined amount of cash and other store items before departing the store. The suspect was observed leaving the parking lot, heading toward Woodville, riding a bicycle.

The suspect is believed to be approximately six feet tall with a thin athletic build. The suspect should be considered ARMED and DANGEROUS. Anyone who has information regarding this robbery or knows the identity of the suspect should contact the Jackson County Sheriff's Office at (256) 574-2610. Ask for Investigator Rick Bremer.
