Come and Use the New Library Photo Center!

The Book Club will meet on Tuesday, March 19, to discuss the classic The Princess Bride by William Goldman. You may have seen the movie, but now you can read the book and talk about it with us. We meet at 7 p.m. at the library and everyone is welcome.

The Dade County Historical Society has plans to publish another historical book. We already have Dade County Histories, Volumes I and II, for sale, as well as a Dade County Cemetery Book. These are available at the library. Our new book will be a compilation of articles written by Myrna McMahan under her column title Dallyin’ in Dade. These articles were written over a period of years about various subjects, people, places and events in Dade County.

We will be working on Tuesdays and Thursdays in April at the library typing these articles. If you are able to help us, just let us know. You can contact Donna Street at donnam.street@gmail.com or Linda Wilson at lanew@tvn.net . We would appreciate your help.

Be sure and bring the kids out to Read to Lead, which will be on Saturday, March 23, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the library. There will be stories read by community leaders, entertainment, games, crafts, and more. This is the fifth annual Read to Lead and it’s always been a popular event.

The date of the Teen Book Club has changed to the fourth Tuesday of the month, March 26 at 6 p.m. The book to be discussed is One of Us is Lying by Karen

McManus.

The library now has a photo center. You can scan, crop and print photos up to 24x36. See the staff for more information and pricing.

Linda Wilson is everybody's favorite retired English teacher and a faithful library volunteer. You can email her at lanew@tvn.net.
