Sgt. Chad Payne is information officer for the Dade County Sheriff's Office.
On Tuesday, March 19, at approximately 3 p.m., Dade County deputies assisted a Department of Community Supervision probation officer with a home visit on Slygo Road. During the visit, a firearm was located, as well as drug-related objects inside the residence.
The probationer, Michael B. Mogle, 26, of Wildwood, was taken
into custody and transported to the Dade County Jail. He was charged with:
Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
Possession of Drug-Related Objects
Probation Violation
On Wednesday, March 20, at approximately 11 p.m., Dade County deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 301 for a vehicle with no working taillights. During the traffic stop, a female passenger was found to be in possession of a substance suspected to be methamphetamine, as well as other drug-related objects.
The female passenger was transported to the Dade County Jail for booking, and the driver was given a verbal warning for the taillight violation. The female arrested was Destiny S. Howell, 22, of Bryant, Ala. She was charged with:
Possession of Methamphetamine
Possession of Drug Related Objects.
