Remember to Register for April Glow Run!

Ready, set, glow! The 2019 Blue Ribbon Glow Run to bring awareness of child abuse is April 26 at the Dade County High School track at 8 p.m. It is a one-mile run/walk/crawl. Participants may register online at the Dade County Public Library or online at https://runsignup.com/blueribbonglowrun. Registration ends March 31. This event is sponsored by Dade First Family Connections, Family and Children’s Services and the Dade County Public Library.

The Dade County Historical Society will have its regular quarterly meeting on Saturday, March 30, at 10:30 a.m. at the Dade County Library. Members will continue planning for the society's annual Cemetery Walk, which will take place in May.

For April, our Book Club that meets at the library will be reading and discussing The Storm by Dan Jolley. Dan Jolley lives in northwest Georgia and is the author of novels, video games and comic books. The Storm is set in a small north Georgia town that is hit by a devastating tornado. The tornado uncovers a ghastly secret that the new, unpopular sheriff has to solve. We’re hoping that the author, Dan Jolley, will be able to join us for our discussion on the third Tuesday in April at 7 p.m. at the library. Join us.

The Teen Leadership Council will meet Tuesday, March 26, at 6 p.m. at the library.

Linda Wilson is everybody's favorite retired English teacher and a faithful library volunteer.
