Clover's on the moove! When you see the big girl cruisin', you know another 4-H event is in the works.
f you have been to any local events in the past year, you have probably seen Clover the 4-H Cow in attendance. Clover is well known to the 10-and-under set. She very patiently allows children to practice their milking technique or ring her cow bell.
Clover was recently in the 4-H booth at the Read to Lead event at the Dade County Public Library. She will next be seen at our annual Ag Day in May. She is easy to spot at county events, such as the Fourth of July celebration at Jenkins Park, Children’s Day on the square in the spring and Family Ag Fair at the Ag Center in September.
If you see Clover riding by in the back of a truck, you will know that another Dade County event is about to happen. Be sure to come visit Clover the 4-H Cow the next time you spot her. She will be udderly pleased to see you.
Now that spring break is over and you’re making summer plans, don’t forget that 4-H Cloverleaf Summer Camp still has openings for fourth-, fifth- and sixth-graders. We will be going to Rock Eagle 4-H Center the week of June 3-7. Come by the Extension office to register. The cost is $305 for the week, which includes transportation to and from Rock Eagle. Campers will enjoy canoeing, hiking, swimming, crafts, wildlife workshops, making fruit smoothies, and more!
