We've Got New Kids' Books!

More new books in this week, and these are children’s books: I Can Only Draw Worms, Swarm of Bees, Sunny’s Tow Truck Saves the Day, The Hug, Georgia’s Terrific, Colorific Experiment, When You Are Brave, Circle, Wings, Mademoiselle Mom, Shh! I’m Reading, A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood (about Mr. Rogers), Ruby & Rufus, A Computer Called Katherine, and Hello, Lighthouse (a Caldecott book). Look for these on the top of the shelves.

The Blue Ribbon Glow Run will be at the high school track on Friday, April 26, from 8 to 10 p.m. It is a one-mile run/walk/crawl and the purpose is to raise awareness about child abuse. Those interested may register at the library.

With the coming of warm weather, we start thinking about summer and traveling. Here at the library we have some FREE passes to some educational opportunities that some people might find of interest. We have free passes for the Chattanooga Zoo, the Atlanta Zoo, the Michael C. Carlos Museum in Atlanta, the Go Fish Education Center in Perry, Ga., and parking passes for Georgia state parks.

We have a couple of new ones as well: the Bremen Jewish Heritage Museum in Atlanta, and the Chattahoochee Nature Center in Roswell, Ga. Call or come by the library for more information on checking out one of these passes--(706) 657-7857.
