On April 20, at approximately noon, a Dade County deputy observed a vehicle traveling north on South Main Street in the city of Trenton. The deputy observed that the driver was not properly wearing his seat belt, and initiated a traffic stop.
After approaching the vehicle, the deputy spoke with the driver and passenger and discovered probable cause to conduct a vehicle search. After conducting the vehicle search, deputies located a substance that field tested positive for Ecstasy, marijuana and a firearm. The driver and passenger were taken in to custody and transported to the Dade County Jail for booking.
Willie L. Lewis (right), 28, of Montgomery, Ala., was charged with
possession of a Schedule 1 controlled substance and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
Denitra L. Vinson (left), 28, also of Montgomery, was charged with possession of marijuana.
