Sgt. Chad Reports Drug Arrests

Sgt. Chad Payne

Sgt. Chad Payne is information officer for the Dade County Sheriff's Office.

On April 27, at approximately 11:30 p.m., a Dade County deputy observed a vehicle traveling on Highway 299 in Wildwood with no working tag lights. The Deputy initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle in the area of Hooker Community Church.

After speaking with the driver and passenger, the deputy discovered probable cause to search the vehicle. A

search of the vehicle yielded several bags of a substance testing positive for methamphetamine as well as drug-related objects.

Both subjects were taken into custody and transported to the Dade County Jail, where they are currently being detained for the listed charges.

Joshua D. Anthony (above), 38, of Rossville, was charged with

  • Possession of Methamphetamine with the Intent to Distribute

  • Possession of Methamphetamine

  • Possession of Drug Related Objects

  • Tag Lights Required.

Jonathan R. Jackson (left), 25, of Fort Oglethorpe, was charged with

  • Possession of Methamphetamine with the Intent to Distribute

  • Possession of Methamphetamine

  • Possession of Drug Related Objects.

Dade Sheriff Ray Cross is extremely proud of his deputies, and continues to encourage them to remove these dangerous drugs from our streets.
