Sgt. Chad Payne is information officer for the Dade County Sheriff's Office.
On May 7, just after midnight, a Dade County deputy observed a vehicle traveling on Interstate 24 with a broken front windshield and displaying no visible registration. The deputy conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle at a convenience store on Highway 299.
After making contact with the occupants of the vehicle, the deputy found that one occupant had a warrant through the state of Alabama. The deputy also found that
there were items related to drug use, as well as a substance that field-tested positive for methamphetamine.
Ronnie L. Hawkins (right), 23, of Trenton, was charged with • Possession of Methamphetamine • Possession of Drug Related Objects • Concealing the Identity of a Motor Vehicle • Starburst Windshield/Crack Not to Exceed 3 Inches • No Insurance
Jennifer N. Fouts (left), 27, also of Trenton, was charged with
• Possession of Methamphetamine • Possession of Drug Related Objects • Warrant (Alabama)
Brandon W Elders (below), 25, of Flat Rock, Ala., was charged with:
Possession of Methamphetamine
Possession of Drug Related Objects
All subjects were taken into custody and transported to the Dade County Jail, where they were booked, housed and released on bond.
