
Sgt. Chad Payne is information officer for the Dade County Sheriff's Office.
On Monday, May 27, at approximately 6 a.m., Dade County deputies were dispatched to the area of Meeks Road in connection with a suspicious person/vehicle. Dispatch advised that the caller saw a vehicle leaving a wooded area behind his residence. The deputies responded to the area and were advised that the vehicle had left going north on Highway 11.
A Trenton Police Department officer spotted the vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The vehicle fled from the officer and a pursuit ensued. The pursuit ended in the city of Trenton, and all occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody.
Dade County deputies returned to the area where the vehicle was initially seen and located a stolen 4-wheeler. The vehicle the subjects were driving was also believed to be stolen out of Ringgold.

The driver of the suspect vehicle was Jacob T. Allison, 21, of Rising Fawn.
The Investigation into the stolen items is still ongoing, and more charges are pending in the case. The info on the other three subjects in the vehicle will be released at a later time, pending further charges.
