June Tidbit From The Master Gardener

Gardeners should wash clothing worn while spraying pesticides in a separate wash load. Run an empty washer load after washing that clothing to rinse away any pesticide residual.

Should a pesticide spill onto clothing, shower and change as quickly as possible. Bag and dispose of the clothes. That amount of residue can never be safely removed.

Master Gardener Ann Bartlett faithfully writes a gardening column for The Planet's Satuday edish, but figures four Saturdays are enough for any month! When a month has five, Ann figures a horticultural hors d'oeuvre ought to tide readers over until she dishes up another full column on the first Saturday of the next month. This tidbit completes her June series on pesticides.

Readers may email Ann gardening questions at arose56@hamilton.net.
