New Books at Library! Also, Time to Sign Up For Halloween Stalls!

Come support your school by creating a unique tie-dye shirt in school colors, just in time for Homecoming. We will be doing this on Thursday, September 26, at 4 p.m. at the library. All materials will be provided, but you must RSVP by calling (706) 657-7857. Supplies are limited.

We have some new books in at the library and they are displayed on our NEW BOOKS shelf. Here are some of the titles: The Matriarch: Barbara Bush by Susan Page, Beneath the Attic by V.C. Andrews, Blessing in Disguise by Danielle Steel, Haunted House Murder by Leslie Meier, The Institute by Stephen King, The Titanic Secret by Clive Cussler, At Death’s Door by Sherrilyn Kenyon, and Labyrinth by Catherine Coulter. I’ll list more next week.

The Coding Club will meet Tuesday, October 1, at 4 p.m. Come and learn to code using Scratch and CS First. This class is for ages 9 to 14.

Our Book Club will be reading The Corpsewood Manor Murders of North Georgia in October. This is a nonfiction book by Amy Petulla about a double murder that took place in neighboring Chattooga County in 1982. We are very pleased to announce that the author, Amy Petulla, will be joining us for our discussion. The Book Club will meet on Tuesday, October 15, at 7 p.m. to discuss the book.

If your church, business, or organization would like to have a booth for Halloween at the library, please call and sign up by October 5. Halloween at the Library will be on Saturday, October 26, from 5 to 7 p.m. Call (706) 657-7857 to sign up.

September is Library Card Sign-up Month. If you sign up for a new library card or renew your library card, your name will be put into a drawing for a gift card. Check

with us to see if you need to renew.
