Here are some pictures from Thursday's vehicle/brush fire at the 13-mile marker of Interstate 59 South. The call came out at 2:15 p.m. on September 26th. Dade deputies, along with officers from the Trenton Police Department, arrived on scene and found a tractor-trailer truck fully involved in flames. They also found that the area surrounding the tractor-trailer had caught fire.
Aid from the Georgia Forestry Commission was requested. The Trenton Fire Department arrived on scene amd quickly had the vehicle fire under control. Georgia Forestry arrived on scene and assisted in getting the surrounding vegetation extinguished.
The cause of the vehicle fire was not
immediately known.
